What to expect when a tree comes down

Having a tree removed can feel like a big step — especially a large one near the house. Knowing how the job runs takes the mystery out of it. Here is the typical sequence, from first call to final tidy.

It starts with a look. The arborist walks the site, checks the tree’s health and lean, and works out the drop zone: buildings, fences, gardens, wires and access for gear. On job day, the crew sets up the work area and starts at the top if space is tight — dismantling the canopy branch by branch, roping pieces down where they cannot be dropped.
